During his eleven-year career at Gartner, Watson was part of the key management team that saw revenues grow from approximately $10 million in 1987 to over $700 million in 1998 and included a successful IPO. While at Gartner, Watson opened offices in 13 US states, managed the research firm's Canadian operations and, from 1995 through 1997, managed its Asia Pacific group, including the Asian CIO program. As Chairman and CEO of RedCelsius, Watson was instrumental in securing a large contract with one of the Big Three automotive companies and built numerous key partnerships with third-party sellers and system integrators. "While representing a prominent private investment group, I looked for the next-generation security software company that had a proven and mature product with referenceable customers and was in need of capitalization," said Watson.
