STI Knowledge Launches GeorgiaFirst! Initiative to Create High-Tech Jobs in Georgia
ATLANTA -- October 21, 2003 -- STI Knowledge, a leading provider of Information Technology Enabled Services, reinforces its commitment to Georgia
by announcing the launch of the company's GeorgiaFirst! initiative. The initiative offers incentives to companies located in Georgia who are
considering outsourcing and want to keep jobs in Georgia.
The GeorgiaFirst! launch corresponds with today's Technology Celebration, an event bringing together executives from around the state to
ensure a successful future for technology in Georgia. Governor Sonny Perdue will be the keynote speaker and the Georgia Department of Industry,
Trade and Tourism is a key sponsor for this landmark event.
"It's always exciting to hear that Georgia companies are creating more job opportunities for Georgians. Our state has a strong and capable
workforce, and it's vital to our economy to keep jobs here at home," said Glenn Cornell, Commissioner of the Department of Industry, Trade
and Tourism.
Companies in Georgia share Commissioner Cornell's vision of keeping jobs in Georgia. Michael Garrison, Director of IT Client Services of
Atlanta-based Chick-fil-A says, "Our relationship with STI Knowledge is centered around the same principals we have for supporting our
restaurants, world-class service and customer satisfaction. With the GeorgiaFirst! initiative, we have taken advantage of the unique
opportunity to support our restaurants locally, yet cost-effectively. GeorgiaFirst! will create jobs in Georgia and preserve the essence
of what makes Georgia such a great state... it's people."
STI Knowledge laid the groundwork for the GeorgiaFirst! initiative with a significant investment in South Georgia. Through cooperative
efforts with the State of Georgia and local governments, STI Knowledge is building a second support center in Americus, GA.
"With our centers in Atlanta and Americus and our GeorgiaFirst! initiative, there is no better time for Georgia companies to join us in
keeping jobs in Georgia," says Jay Clark, President and COO, STI Knowledge. "The STI Knowledge brand, outsourcing experience and service
quality combined with Georgia's best people are the ingredients for this program. Our professionals become a transparent extension of
your company's business, delivering positive ROI and enhancing your company's image."
