 REFLEX SECURITY APPOINTS MICHAEL CASEY AS CHIEF OPERATING OFFICER AND CHIEF FINANCIAL OFFICERSeasoned Executive to Accelerate Channel InitiativesATLANTA -- November 9, 2004 -- Reflex Security today announced that Michael J. Casey will become Chief Operating Officer and Chief Financial Officer in December. Mr. Casey’s responsibilities will include managing operations and the development of indirect and reseller channels for the company’s leading intrusion prevention and detection solutions. Casey brings over 19 years of financial and operational leadership with a proven track record of execution, having served as chief financial officer (CFO) in leading public software and technology companies, including MAPICS, iXL Enterprises, Manhattan Associates, and IQ Software. Most recently, Casey was CFO at MAPICS, where he drove improved financial results in addition to a successful acquisition. Prior to joining MAPICS, Mike served as senior vice president finance and administration for iXL Enterprises, Inc., a global Internet services consulting firm, where he directed all financial, human resource, IT, facilities, and administrative functions during its restructuring and its merger with Scient, Inc. Previously, Mike served as CFO of Manhattan Associates, Inc. during a period of rapid growth and its successful initial public offering. Mike’s experience also includes serving as CFO for IQ Software Corporation during its growth and successful initial public offering. Mike began his career at Arthur Andersen, where he specialized in serving the technology and communications industries. Mike earned a Bachelor of Business Administration degree in Accounting from the University of Georgia.
