EDI Solution Provider Covast Strikes Gold in Third Quarter 2003

Record Quarter Follows Banner Second Quarter and Stems from Significant New Customer Wins

ATLANTA -- November 20, 2003 -- Covast, provider of the recommended electronic data interchange (EDI) solution for Microsoft BizTalk Server, announced today that in Q3 the company increased revenues over a phenomenal Q2 of this year by yet another 17% and topped third quarter 2002 revenues by 183%.

Contributing significantly to the surge in revenues was the fact that the company brought on over twenty new customer accounts worldwide, including:

  • Abbott Systems
  • MGA Entertainment
  • Tellabs
  • Movado
  • U.S. Steel
  • Serviport (Spain)
  • Berri (Australia)
  • Moypark (United Kingdom)
  • "We were confident that after joining Microsoft's Partner Program we would see a rapid increase in new customer acquisition both for Covast and for Microsoft BizTalk Server," said Daan Scheer, founder and CEO, Covast. "The success of this quarter can be directly attributed to Covast being the recommended EDI solution for Microsoft BizTalk Server."

Covast's flagship EDI Accelerator enables complex EDI support within Microsoft BizTalk Server. The combination of Covast's EDI Accelerator with BizTalk Server enables companies to securely manage the co-existence of EDI and proprietary file formats with new, open standards such as XML.

Covast is a premier member of the BizTalk Server Partner Program and will support the upcoming Microsoft BizTalk Server 2004, the foundation for Microsoft's "Jupiter" vision.
